After many years working in the nursery & garden industries, I finally launched my own design and planting business in 1996 – Peter Stubbs ‘City Gardens’ – and here we are, as busy as ever in 2016.
We design and create gardens with particular emphasis on clever layout and appropriate planting – always striving to find the right plant for the right place.
Use of space and planting schemes are a specialty. Everyone’s situations and needs are individual, and I make sure your particular requisites are listened to and incorporated into the design.
I approach each project with an open mind, and take cues from the client. I have clients from many different backgrounds, each with their own tastes. I have a feel for Adelaide’s cottages and villas, but also love doing a contemporary look.
Peter combined great design and planting with practicality, so the whole thing works.
Peter has helped me with all things horticultural over many years - from our big family garden, right through to our current townhouse courtyard. The results are always just what we wanted.
Peter designed and planted our garden 10 years ago. He and his team continue to maintain and improve the garden.
Peter's plant choices were marvellous. Faced with a small, narrow space, he used pots, plants & mirrors to create a lush, spacious, inner city oasis. It's green, tranquil and fragrant, and we love it.
Peter listened to my brief - I wanted sunny and shady areas, to sit and enjoy lots of birdlife and botanical interest. He blended contemporary and traditional plants together to create a garden just for me - I enjoy my garden 24/7, all year round.
